Bicycle Awareness

Campaigne
For The
Los Angeles Police Department

The objective of this campaign was to give drivers more awareness to the vulnerability of the bicyclist that share the road with them. I joined up with a team of two other designers, and after fleshing out our own individual concepts we came together for a process of elimination.

Conceptualization. I

I sketched an idea for the kind of poster I thought
Would best convey our message.

Conceptualization. II

After going over our individual designs as a group
We shared our ideas and decided to revisit our initial concepts
In my revision, I felt a series of iconic sign simulations
Might grab attention from driver's the most.

Final Draft
.

After regrouping, we we finalized our decision on this poster
Initially created by my colleague, it shared an aesthetic similar
To each members preliminary work. Then I developed visuals
For various environment applications.

Car Seatbelt Safety Campaign

In Conjunction with the
Los Angeles Police Department

I collaborated with 2 other creatives as we were asked to develop
A new Ad Campaign for car seat awareness. We invoked a process of
Filtering out each member's concept until finding an agreeable
Solution that resonated with the entire group.

Conceptualization. I

I drew up an initial sketch mockup for the kind of
Poster I felt would best carry our Campaign's
Message while enticing the viewer.

Final Draft.

After careful review of each member's concept our final decision was a poster themed "REGRET", initially conceptualized by my colleague. She designed the title's typography. While Through image and type editing, the layout and Windshield Crack Aesthetic & Bus Overhead
Were designed by me.

Anti-Graffiti Campaign

For the
Los Angeles Police Department

A commission where I collaborated with 2 other designers to create
A campaign for Anti-Graffiti awareness amongst the local communities.
This process involved my colleagues and I reviewing various campaign
Suggestions as a group. Once finalizing our decision onto 3 possible solutions,
each member was assigned a solution to elaborate for a more extensive
concept. After reviewing each member's concept, a final solution was
Selected as group.

Conceptualization. I

The idea I selected was to show the the negative effects
Vandalism could have on a youth's future, by displaying
a job application's questions replied to with a
government penalty for vandalism.

Final Draft.

After reviewing each member's concept, the final
Solution was taken from a Graffiti Subculture practice of using
Name tags to display the Vandalist's graffiti work. With the name
On the tag replaced by graffiti. With this idea we substituted
The graffiti with a government penalty for vandalism.

Field Applications

Once our solution was finalized, I began recording our field applications
And reactions to various settings.

Logo Design for University Student Body

In
Washington, D.C

I was commissioned by the Student Government of the
Washington Adventist University
in Washington, D.C to revitalize
Their logo to one with a more contemporary aesthetic and specifically
Reflected their status as one of the more choice club organizations
On that University's campus.

Before.

After.

Conceptualization. I

I started by presenting a list of various directions to for the
Logo's design process. Keeping each concept in black and white to
Break their reliance on color for integrity. It's important to make sure
Any solution works well in black and white first,
Designing in color last.

Conceptualization. II

After a concept was chosen, I followed our the selected direction
by continuing revisions on the concept while maintaining its
Black and white appearance.

Conceptualization. III

After revising the concept into a detailed logo solution I continued
Following up the chosen direction by displaying possible ways to
Incorporate the club title into the logo design. However, the
Client expressed interest leave the written title
Out of the design.

Final Draft.

This was the final result, rendered in the school's colors.
